Two horrific road accidents occurred in Mathura and Auraiya on the same day, claiming seven lives. In both incidents, speeding cars lost control and plunged into drains and canals. Four brothers from the same family died in Mathura, while a husband, wife, and their son died in Auraiya.

Four people, including three brothers, died when their car fell into a canal in the Mogra area of Mathura district.
Additional Superintendent of Police (Rural Area) Suresh Chandra Rawat said on Thursday that on Wednesday night, a car traveling from Mahmudpur to Deeg lost control near a sharp turn near the Nahla Deviya bridge in the Mogra police station area, collided with a structure, and fell into the canal.
Rawat said two locals arrived at the scene and managed to pull the car out of the canal, but the occupants could not be rescued. He said police arrived at the scene after receiving information and took possession of the bodies and sent them for post-mortem.
Rawat said the deceased were identified as Rahul (23), a resident of Baldevgarh in the Mahawan police station area, and his cousins Amit (23) and Mohit (21). He said another 20-year-old man also died in the accident, and efforts are underway to identify him. Rawat said police are investigating the matter.
