An out-of-control car ran over several people in the New Agra police station area of the Agra Police Commissionerate in Uttar Pradesh on Friday night, killing five people and injuring two others. A police officer gave this information on Saturday.
Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Shesh Mani Upadhyay said the accident occurred at Nagla Budhi, ahead of the Central Hindi Institute in the New Agra police station area.
He said the five injured were taken to Sarojini Naidu Medical College, where doctors declared them dead.
He said the deceased were identified as Babli (33), Bhanu Pratap (25), Kamal (23), Krishna (20), and Bantesh (21). Bhanu Pratap worked as a parcel delivery person for a private company.
