Police have arrested three accused, identified as Satyam Mishra (22), Suhail (23) and Aslam (31).

Once again a shameful incident has come to light in Uttar Pradesh. The 23-year-old daughter of a serving PCS officer was gang-raped inside a moving SUV car in the capital Lucknow. The incident took place on December 5, but came to light when the victim lodged an FIR at the Wazirganj police station. Police on Monday arrested three accused, identified as Satyam Mishra (22), Suhail (23) and Aslam (31).
Additional DCP (West Zone) Chiranjeev Nath Sinha, who is monitoring the investigation, said the victim had gone to King George’s Medical University (KGMU) on December 5, where she was being treated by a psychiatrist. She had gone to a tea stall near the department gate, which was run by the accused person.
“We conducted a verification drive of 120 kiosks/stalls and took photographs of them and showed them to the survivors,” the ADCP said.
“We then picked up Satyam who worked at Suhail and Aslam’s tea stall, whose vehicle was used in the crime. Surveillance details and CCTV footage revealed his role in the crime,” the officer said.
Sinha said that on that fateful day the victim sought help at a tea shop to charge her phone’s battery. Satyam offers to charge his phone in the parked ambulance, but the driver unexpectedly drives off with a patient. Satyam and the survivor chase the ambulance and catch it near the IT College crossing. Satyam’s two associates Aslam and Suhail forced the girl into an SUV and drove towards Safedabad in Barabanki.
“They stopped at a restaurant to buy food, which they forced her to eat,” the officer said. As the car moved away, Satyam filmed his associates sexually assaulting her one by one. The girl told Satyam ” to delete the video and leave her. Instead of her friend’s house in Indira Nagar, they dropped her at Munshipulia and ran away.”
