After the video went viral, while the opposition parties have fiercely targeted him, people are also accusing the BJP leader of insulting Sanatan Dharma.
Actually, a video of the mythological Lodheshwar Mahadev temple located in Ramnagar of Barabanki district is going viral on social media. In the video, BJP government minister Satish Sharma is seen washing his hands in the circle made for the installation of Shivling. State Public Works Minister Jitin Prasad is also seen present with him. The video is said to be from 27th August. Satish Sharma and Jitin Prasad had reached Hetmapur village of Ramnagar tehsil to distribute relief material to the flood victims. During this time, both of them had worshiped in the mythological temple.
After the video went viral, Samajwadi Party and Congress have demanded the removal of Satish Sharma. However, seeing the controversy escalating, the minister has apologized. Satish Sharma said that even in his dreams he could not think of disrespecting the Sanatani faith and if his conduct has caused pain to anyone then he apologizes for that. At the same time, as the controversy escalated, the priests of the temple have also come to the defense of the BJP minister. The priest says that the Minister of State had Prasad material on his hands, hence his hands were washed in the Argha and there is nothing wrong in it.
On this incident, Congress and Samajwadi Party have targeted BJP and accused the Minister of State of insulting Sanatan Dharma and have raised the demand for his immediate removal. Congress spokesperson Anshu Awasthi said that these people have nothing to do with faith and neither do they have any knowledge. They insult Sanatan Dharma at many places.
At the same time, senior Samajwadi Party leader Sunil Singh said that the unrighteous Satish Sharma, who washed his hands on Lodheshwar Shivling, is the Minister of State in the Yogi government and along with him the self-proclaimed imported faces of Brahmins are also standing. If a leader of any other caste had done the same thing, the hypocritical BJP would have got him expelled by now. By the way, why is Baba silent?
