In Tappa Jamni village of Sahaswan area of Badaun district of Uttar Pradesh, late Wednesday night, due to a storm, a spark from the transformer engulfed about 200 houses of the entire village and the entire village turned into a heap of ashes. An official gave this information.
According to local sources, the villagers ran away and saved their lives but one person was injured by burning in the fire and hundreds of pets died. The burnt person has been admitted to the Community Health Center of Ujhani. The police and administration team reached the spot and started relief and rescue operations. However, by the time the fire brigade vehicles reached the village, the entire village had turned into ashes.
District Magistrate Avnish Kumar Rai said that this accident happened due to a strong storm. Police administration, fire brigade, all medical teams and ambulances are present at the spot.
He said that no person has died in this incident. One person has suffered normal burns. Although it is being said that a large number of animals have died, the loss will be assessed as soon as possible and compensation will be provided to the affected people. Those whose houses have been damaged will also be given help.
