Here, on a train in the city of Charlotte, a criminal brutally murdered 23-year-old Ukrainian refugee Iryna Zarutska by stabbing her with knives. The irony is that Irina had come to America from her war-torn country Ukraine in search of a safe life, but she was killed here. The video clearly shows that Irina boards the train in her pizzeria uniform at around 10 pm on August 22. She sits on a seat and starts looking at her phone, unaware that death was waiting for her right behind her. 34-year-old Decarlos Brown Jr. was sitting behind her.

Just four minutes after boarding the train, Brown suddenly pulled out a knife and attacked the unsuspecting Irina from behind. According to police, he stabbed Irina three times, including at least one in the neck.

After the attack, Brown can be seen in the video walking around the train compartment, taking off his sweatshirt and standing near the door waiting. Soon other passengers noticed that blood was dripping from her body.

Investigators said Irina collapsed in her seat and died on the spot. Brown got off the train at the next station. A knife was later recovered from the platform. Brown was taken into custody after being taken to hospital for treatment of a cut on his hand.
