The debris falling from the mountains has fallen on the houses in Pagano village, causing a lot of damage to their houses. He said, “The problem of landslides persists here. Due to this, the entire village has to spend its nights in fear. Not only this, the administration has also not taken necessary steps for the safety of the villagers. . After the landslide, everyone is scared the whole night. There are some people who are forced to leave their homes. “
Last month, the National Green Tribunal (NGT) ordered the Uttarakhand government to submit an affidavit on the action taken to address the problem of land subsidence and cracks in Joshimath, located in Chamoli district.
The land subsidence here started in early January 2023. Due to which a large number of residents had to be displaced.
