The villagers said that after the heavy rain on Friday night, a landslide occurred once again in Pagano village. The debris falling from the mountains has fallen on the houses in Pagano village, causing a lot of damage to their houses. He said, “The problem of landslides persists here. Due to this, the entire village has to spend its nights in fear. Not only this, the administration has also not taken necessary steps for the safety of the villagers. . After the landslide, everyone is scared the whole night. There are some people who are forced to leave their homes. “
Last month, the National Green Tribunal (NGT) ordered the Uttarakhand government to submit an affidavit on the action taken to address the problem of land subsidence and cracks in Joshimath, located in Chamoli district.
