Two tourists, one from the US and the other from Gujarat, died on Saturday at Sonamarg and Pahalgam hill stations in Jammu and Kashmir. The American tourist, named Lana Marie, was ill at a hotel in Sonamarg hill station in Ganderbal district, officials said.
“Mary was taken to the Primary Health Center (PHC) in Sonamarg, where doctors declared her brought dead,” officials said.
“The body is being kept at the PHC in Sonamarg,” officials said.
Gujarati tourist Wangikar Anagha, 63, was found unconscious inside the hotel in Pahalgam tourist resort, he said.
Anagha was taken to the hospital, where doctors declared her dead.
