According to the information, the aircraft was on a training flight at the time of the accident. The pilot of the aircraft, Shakti Singh, has suffered minor injuries. He has been taken to the hospital for treatment. He is safe. As soon as the news of the accident was received, there was chaos at the training site. The employees present immediately rushed to help.
According to eyewitnesses, the front wheel of the aircraft was bent during landing. At the same time, some say that during landing, the front tire of the aircraft came out and the plane got off the taxiway and fell into the grass on the side. After this, the company employees immediately took the aircraft aside and started repairing it.
The front fan of the aircraft was damaged and some parts near the wheel were also damaged. This aircraft belonged to the Red Bird Training Institute. Training had started at around 8 am on Saturday, when the local representative informed about the accident. There were no casualties in this accident.
As soon as the information about the accident was received, police and local administration reached the spot. An FIR has been registered.
The DGCA (Directorate General of Civil Aviation) has ordered an investigation into the matter.
Speaking to IANS, SP Pune Sandeep Gill said, during landing, some birds came in front of the aircraft. Due to this, the pilot took the aircraft back up and came down for landing again, then the front wheels of the aircraft were damaged.
This is not the first case related to Redbird Flight Training Academy, when the plane has crashed during training. Earlier in October 2023, such an incident also happened, when a training aircraft crashed. In the accident, VT-RBT aircraft of Red Bird Academy Technam had to make an emergency landing near Baramati Air Field. However, both the instructor and the trainee were safe.
