A painful accident has taken place in Athnia Diara of Pirpainti Block in Bhagalpur, Bihar. Three people were burnt alive here, while one person suffered severe burns and has been admitted to Mayaganj Hospital in Bhagalpur. He is undergoing treatment there.
According to the information, Gautam Yadav was sleeping at home with his wife Varsha Devi (30), son Pratyush Kumar (7) and daughter Jyoti Kumari (4) in Athnia Diara. Meanwhile, the house caught fire late on Thursday night.
It is being speculated that due to deep sleep, Gautam Yadav’s wife, daughter and son could not leave the house, due to which all three died of burning, while the house owner Gautam Yadav somehow managed to get out of the fire. The villagers admitted the injured Gautam Yadav to a referral hospital for treatment, where his condition remains critical.
After getting the information about the incident, Pirpainthi police station, BDO, CO along with fire engine reached the spot.
Pirpainthi police chief Neeraj Kumar gave complete information about the incident. He said, “The cause of the fire has not been ascertained yet. We are investigating the cause of the fire. In this incident, three people have died and one person has suffered severe burns, who is being treated.”
After this the series of relief and rescue work was started. The police reached the spot and took possession of all the bodies and sent them for post-mortem. At the same time, the authorities have assured to provide all possible financial assistance to the victim’s family.
Local villagers said that the victim’s family was sleeping after eating. Meanwhile, a fire broke out. Soon the fire took a terrible form and the whole family fell victim to it. Gautam Yadav is not in a position to give a statement. According to the police, his statement will be recorded only after he gets better, so that the cause of the fire can be ascertained.
