Three electrocuted as DJ speaker touches live wire in UP’s Kaushambi

The joys of marriage turned into mourning in Kaushambi district of Uttar Pradesh. During the wedding ceremony here, high voltage current ran in the music system. Due to which three people died.

Uttar Pradesh: Three people, including two real brothers, have died after being electrocuted during a marriage ceremony in Kokhraj area of Kaushambi district. Police area officer Awadhesh Kumar Vishwakarma said on Sunday that the marriage procession of a person named Pintu, living in Dulhaniapur village of Kaushambi police station area of the district, had come to Kokhraj area on Saturday.

He said that three people died due to electric shock after coming in contact with the high tension wire of a musical instrument at the wedding venue. The deceased have been identified as Satish (18) and two brothers Ravi (20) and Rajesh (18). Vishwakarma said that the police have sent all three bodies for post-mortem.

According to the information, the marriage of Ramesh Prajapati’s sister was held in Usra of Municipal Council Bharwari of Kokhraj police station area. Pintu Prajapati’s wedding procession had come from Dulhaniyapur village of Karari police station area. The groomsmen were dancing on the DJ in the wedding ceremony. At that very moment it suddenly started raining. An umbrella was placed to protect the DJ machine from rain water. During that time, 11 thousand high tension wire touched the umbrella and it exploded with a loud noise.

There was chaos on the spot after the accident. During that time the DJ got electrocuted. DJ’s laborer Satish, who was holding an umbrella, and two real brothers walking next to the DJ, Ravi and Rakesh, got hit by the electric blast. People took the injured to Manjhanpur District Hospital where doctors declared them dead. The police arrived after the incident and sent the bodies of the deceased for post-mortem. Police started investigating the incident.
