The ‘X’ account of the Chinese mouthpiece ‘Global Times’ has been banned in India. Let us tell you that Global Times, a Chinese government media outlet, is widely considered to be a propaganda of the Chinese Communist Party. India had criticized China’s Global Times for giving wrong information on Operation Sindoor. After this Global Times was banned.

India strongly criticized the Chinese media outlet

India had strongly criticized the Chinese media outlet, and asked it to verify facts and check sources before spreading misinformation. The response came after the Global Times published a report claiming that the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) has “shot down another Indian fighter jet” in response to Indian airstrikes on several targets in Pakistan overnight, citing “unknown sources in the Pakistani military”.

Reacting to this, the official handle of the Indian Embassy in Beijing posted several posts on Twitter, saying, “Dear @globaltimesnews, we would advise you to verify your facts and check your sources before forwarding such misinformation.”

Another post read, “Several pro-Pakistan handles are spreading baseless claims in the context of Operation Sindoor, attempting to mislead the public. When media outlets share such information without verifying sources, it reflects a serious lapse in responsibility and journalistic ethics.”

Earlier, India on Wednesday strongly rejected China’s move to change the names of some places in Arunachal Pradesh, calling the attempt “absurd” and asserting that such action cannot change the “indisputable” fact that the state was, is and will always remain an integral part of India.

New Delhi’s response comes after Beijing released a list of Chinese names for several places in Arunachal Pradesh. He claims this area to be a part of Southern Tibet.
