The ban on Indian aircraft flying over Pakistan airspace has been extended until June 24, 2025

Pakistan has extended the period of keeping the airspace closed for Indian airlines till June 24. After the Pahalgam attack and the subsequent launch of Operation Sindoor, Pakistan had closed its airspace for Indian airlines.

India has taken another tough step against Pakistan. India has extended the NOTAM for Pakistan flights for one month. This decision has been taken on Friday on the instructions of the Ministry of Civil Aviation (MoCA). After this decision, now no Pakistani aircraft, civilian or military, can enter Indian airspace for the next one month. After the Pahalgam attack, India had imposed this ban on Pakistan till 23 May. Now it has been extended till 23 June. The Ministry of Civil Aviation said that Indian airspace is restricted for ACFTs registered in Pakistan and ACFTs operated or owned or leased by Pakistani airlines or operators. This also includes military flights.

Pakistan had earlier closed the airspace

Earlier on 24 April, Pakistan had banned Indian airlines from its airspace. After this, Pakistan extended the decision to keep its airspace closed for Indian aircraft for another month. Initially this ban was imposed till May 23, and now it has been extended by Pakistan for a month.
