During the hearing on Delhi pollution case, the Supreme Court has called the odd-even formula as unscientific. The court further said that this is just an unscientific formula.
The Supreme Court told Punjab, “We want this (burning of stubble) to stop. We don’t know how you do it, it’s your job. But this should be stopped. Something has to be done immediately, the Supreme Court directed the governments of Punjab, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan to immediately stop burning of stubble.
On air pollution in Delhi-NCR, the Supreme Court made the local SHO responsible for implementing the court’s direction on stubble burning under the supervision of the DGP and the Chief Secretary. On air pollution in Delhi-NCR, the Supreme Court said that the smog tower installed as per earlier orders is not working, and directed the government to ensure its repair.
