Despite the Supreme Court’s stay on the state government’s order to install nameplates on shops on the Kanwar route, Hindu organizations have started a nameplate campaign in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh from today. Under this, nameplates are being installed on the shops of Hindu shopkeepers on the Kanwar route. Even though the matter of nameplate dispute on Kanwar route is going on in the Supreme Court, it has been started in Aligarh.
People associated with Hindu organizations put up nameplates of Hindu fruit sellers and hotel operators on Ramghat Road Kanwar route in Aligarh. The slogan Jai Shri Ram is written on the nameplate, along with a picture of Lord Bholenath. This campaign was run in Quarsi police station area of Aligarh district.
Deepak Sharma, associated with the Hindu organization, said that people who are hiding their identity and setting up their shops, in view of this, the Sanatani people of our Hindu society are writing their names on the shops in view of their safety, purity and faith. Under this, they are working to reveal their identity. This work is being done in view of the purity of Kanwariyas. This campaign will run from Aligarh to Haridwar.
Deepak Sharma further said that they are writing their names openly so that the religion of Hindu shopkeepers is not corrupted. No one should have any objection to this. There should be no protest. There can be the name of an officer, there can be the name of a doctor, the name of the Supreme Court is written outside the Supreme Court, the name of the judge is also written, then why is there an objection to this decision of the government. What is the problem in revealing your identity?
