Six people were killed in a horrific road accident in Muzaffarnagar district, Uttar Pradesh, on Wednesday morning. The accident occurred in the Titavi police station area on the Panipat-Khatima National Highway (NH-58), where a speeding car collided with a truck parked on the side of the highway.
According to reports, all eight people in the car were traveling from Faridpur, Haryana, to Haridwar. The car was traveling at such a high speed that the driver lost control and collided directly with the truck. The impact was so severe that the car was completely destroyed.
Upon receiving the news of the accident, people nearby began rescue and relief efforts. Police immediately rushed the injured to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared five dead. Two other seriously injured people were referred to Meerut, where another person succumbed to their injuries during treatment.
A total of six people have died in the accident, including three women and three men. Police have taken the bodies into custody and sent them for postmortem examination, and the families of the deceased have been informed. The accident is being investigated.
