Ghaziabad: A sensational incident took place on the Delhi Meerut Expressway when a policeman on duty was hit by a car coming at a speed of 120. In this collision, the policeman jumped about 100 feet in the air and fell far away. Due to which he was badly injured on the spot. After which another policeman posted there took him to the hospital, where he died.
Policeman on duty at IPEM exit point got hit: CCTV footage of a heart-wrenching incident on the Delhi Meerut Expressway has surfaced. A constable on duty at the IPEM exit point was blown away by a car coming at a speed of 120. The speed of the car was so fast that the constable jumped in the air and fell about 100 feet away. The entire incident was captured in the CCTV installed on the Delhi Meerut Expressway.
Accused car drivers Vineet and Sumit arrested: Police have arrested Vineet and Sumit in connection with the case. The car was being driven by Vineet. According to the information received, Vineet alias Binny is a history-sheeter of Madhuban Bapudham police station. Vineet and Sumit are residents of Sadarpur area of Ghaziabad. The arrested accused are being questioned by the police.
Case registered against the accused in Vijayanagar police station: Regarding the matter, constable Vineet’s brother Akshay Kumar has filed a case in Vijayanagar police station on 23 August 2025. Akshay Kumar has again said, “My brother Vipin Kumar is working in traffic management at IPEM College Cut. On August 22, at around 6:15 pm, the driver of the Ertiga car ran over my brother with the intention of killing him. Vipin has suffered serious injuries. Vipin has been admitted to the hospital where he died.
ADCP Traffic Sachchidanand gave information about the case: Giving information on the case, ADCP Traffic said that on August 22, 2025, at around 6:15 pm, constable Vipin Kumar was on duty at the IPEM exit point on the Delhi Meerut Expressway. At this time, the Ertiga car, coming at a speed of 120, hits the constable standing on the roadside.
Both the accused are history-sheeters of Madhuban Bapudham police station: Immediately after the incident, the constable was admitted to Manipal Hospital by the police. The constable died late Saturday night during treatment. A case of ‘attempt to murder’ was registered in Vijayanagar police station regarding the incident. The Ertiga car has been recovered by the police. Vinit was driving the car and Sumit was sitting next to him. Both have been arrested. On enquiry, it was found that Vinit alias Bin is also a history-sheeter of Madhuban Bapudham police station.
