Six patients die at Odisha hospital ‘due to negligence’; govt orders probe

Two probes have been ordered following the death of six patients due to alleged negligence at the state-run Shaheed Laxman Nayak Medical College and Hospital in Koraput, Odisha. Opposition Biju Janata Dal and Congress demanded action against those responsible for the death of the patients.

Three men and three women died in a short span of time on Tuesday night. Five patients died between 11 pm and 12 am, while the sixth patient succumbed around 3.30 am on Tuesday night.
