After the central government’s order to send Pakistanis back to their country, Seema Haider appealed to the Prime Minister and the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh to let her stay in India, saying that she was undoubtedly the daughter of Pakistan but now she is the daughter-in-law of India.
Two years ago, Seema had allegedly entered India illegally with her four children and is living with Sachin Meena in Gautam Buddha Nagar district. Seema claims that after marrying Sachin, she has adopted Hinduism.
Seema shared a video on the social media platform ‘Instagram’ on Friday evening in which a person asks her something. To this, Seema says, “I do not want to go to Pakistan sir.”
Then the person asks what she would like to appeal to Modi (Prime Minister). To this, Seema can be heard saying, “I would like to appeal to Modi ji and Yogi ji (Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath) that I am in their refuge, I am their trust, I was a daughter of Pakistan but I am the daughter-in-law of India. Let me stay here.” Seema gave birth to a daughter on March 18 this year.
Seema, a resident of Jacobabad in Pakistan’s Sindh province, left her home in Karachi in May 2023 and came to India via Nepal with her children.
She made headlines in July when Indian authorities caught her living with 27-year-old Sachin in Rabupura area of Gautam Buddh Nagar district in Uttar Pradesh. The two reportedly came in contact while playing online games in 2019.
Seema has four children from her Pakistani husband Ghulam Haider. Ghulam had earlier hired an Indian lawyer to gain custody of his children.
Seema and Sachin were arrested in July 2023. Seema is accused of illegally entering India, while Sachin was booked for harboring an illegal migrant. Later, both were released on bail.
