In Shahjahanpur district, a father allegedly killed his four children by slitting their throats with a sharp weapon and then committed suicide by hanging himself, a senior police officer said on Thursday.

A heart-wrenching incident has come to light in Shahjahanpur district of Uttar Pradesh, where a father brutally murdered his four children with a sharp weapon. After committing the crime, he committed suicide by hanging himself. The accused youth killed the children after his wife went to her maternal home. After receiving information about the incident, the SP has reached the spot with the entire force. The police has started investigating the matter. The deceased include three girls and a boy. The eldest girl is 12 years old and the youngest boy is 5 years old. The accused father belongs to Dhanuk caste. The police have taken the bodies into custody and sent them for post-mortem.
The accused had an accident a long time ago, after which he used to get hyper on every matter. The incident is of Manpur Chachri of Thana Roza of the district. According to the information received, the wife of the deceased had gone to her maternal home two-three days ago. It is being told that there was a fight between the two, due to which this person was angry. In this anger, he committed such a big incident. The police have started investigating the case. When there was no movement in the house for a long time on Thursday morning, the rest of the family got suspicious.
After this, they looked in the room and found a dead body. The name of the accused was Rajiv Kumar. He was about 36 years old. When Rajiv’s father broke the door of the house, the dead bodies of the children were lying on the bed inside. Rajiv’s body was hanging from a noose. The villagers say that he used to have arguments with his wife Kranti every day. A day or two ago, his wife had gone to her maternal home. On receiving the information, many top officials including Superintendent of Police Rajesh Dwivedi reached the spot and investigated. Rajiv used to support the family by working as a laborer.
