Severe heat in most parts of Rajasthan, light rain in many places

According to the Meteorological Department, dust storms are expected to blow at a speed of 30 to 40 kilometres per hour in the border areas of Jodhpur and Bikaner divisions for the next two to three days.

Amidst the scorching heat prevailing in most parts of Rajasthan, light rain occurred at many places in the eastern part of the state. The Meteorological Department said that in the last 24 hours, light rain was recorded at some places in eastern Rajasthan. The maximum rainfall of 27 mm was recorded in Jhalawar (Jhalawar).

Western Rajasthan is in the grip of severe heat. The highest maximum temperature here was recorded in Ganganagar (46.0 degree Celsius) which is 3.3 degrees more than normal.

According to the Meteorological Department, dusty winds are expected to blow at a speed of 30 to 40 kilometers per hour in the border areas of Jodhpur, Bikaner division for the next two to three days.

Similarly, in Bikaner and Sriganganagar districts, the maximum temperature is expected to be recorded at 45-46 degree Celsius till May 20 and heat wave at some places and the maximum temperature in most of the remaining parts will be 42-44 degree Celsius. Light rain may occur at some places in the northern parts of the state on May 19 and 20 in the afternoon.
