The security of the Parliament House has been breached once again. On Friday, a man climbed a tree and entered inside by jumping over the wall. However, the security personnel have caught the intruder. He is being questioned.
This incident happened a day after the monsoon session of Parliament ended. It is being told that a man climbed the wall with the help of a tree and then jumped inside the Parliament House premises. This person jumped over the wall from the Rail Bhavan side. After this he reached the Garuda gate of the new Parliament House. He entered the Parliament House at around 6.30 am. Seeing that person roaming there, the security present in the Parliament House caught him.
A similar incident of breach of security also happened last year, when a man in his 20s entered the Parliament House Annexe. An alleged video of this incident also surfaced, in which the suspect, who was wearing shorts and a T-shirt, was seen being held by armed CISF personnel. No objectionable item was found from the person during the search.
In 2023 too, a massive security lapse took place on the anniversary of the Parliament attack. Two youths, Sagar Sharma and Manoranjan D, had entered the Lok Sabha chamber amidst the ongoing proceedings in Parliament. These people had released yellow smoke inside the Lok Sabha chamber after jumping from the visitors’ gallery in Parliament. However, the MPs present in the House nabbed both of them. At the same time, Neelam Azad and Amol Shinde had also released yellow smoke outside the Parliament.
A total of 6 people were arrested in this case. The other two accused included Mahesh Kumawat and Lalit Jha. Lalit Jha is believed to be the mastermind of the entire incident. Delhi Police had filed a charge sheet of more than 900 pages in the Patiala House Court in the security lapse case.
