Rajasthan police have arrested Prakash Singh alias Badal for spying for Pakistan’s ISI

Interrogation revealed that Prakash, alias Badal, had been in contact with the ISI since the time of Operation Sindoor. He was transmitting sensitive information such as Indian Army movements, military vehicle movements, and geographical information about border areas, bridges, and roads.

Rajasthan CID Intelligence presented suspected Pakistani ISI agent Prakash Singh alias Badal, arrested from Sri Ganganagar, before the Jaipur Metropolitan First Chief Judicial Magistrate Court on Tuesday. The court remanded the accused to the CID on 10-day police remand until December 11th. On November 27th, CID Intelligence received information that Prakash Singh was involved in suspicious activities near the Sadhuwali military area in Sri Ganganagar. The Border Intelligence team detained him and interrogated him, finding evidence of regular contact with Pakistani and foreign WhatsApp numbers on his mobile phone.

Contact via WhatsApp and Telegram

Spy Prakash kept in touch with his handlers in Pakistan through social media, including WhatsApp and Telegram. This is where he received instructions from Pakistan. Significantly, Prakash told people he was a marble mason. Under this guise, he used to send sensitive information related to the Indian Army to Pakistan.

Came in contact with ISI during ‘Operation Sindoor’

Further investigation revealed that Prakash, alias Badal, had been in contact with ISI since the time of ‘Operation Sindoor’. He passed on sensitive information such as Indian Army activities, movement of military vehicles, geographical information of border areas, bridges, and roads. Furthermore, he provided OTPs for Indian citizens’ mobile numbers at the behest of Pakistani agents.

Also facilitated monetary transactions

Using these OTPs, enemy agents created WhatsApp accounts with Indian numbers and carried out espionage and anti-national activities. Prakash also facilitated monetary transactions in exchange for this. After preliminary investigation and technical analysis confirmed all allegations, a case was registered against the accused under the Official Secrets Act, 1923, at the Special Police Station in Jaipur, and he was arrested.
