Punjab Government’s ambitious scheme ‘Ghar Ghar Ration’ has started from today. Asia’s largest grain market is in Khanna area of Punjab state. Aam Aadmi Party convenor Arvind Kejriwal and Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann have started this scheme from Khanna.

Under the Ghar Ghar Ration Scheme, beneficiaries will get ration every month sitting at their homes. Beneficiaries will have the option to take grains in exchange for flour or flour. After the implementation of this scheme, beneficiaries will avoid standing in queues for hours. Besides this, black marketing of grains will also be curbed.

More than 1500 delivery agents

Punjab government will hire more than 1500 youth as delivery agents, which will also generate employment opportunities. There are about 38 lakh ration card holders and about 1 crore 46 lakh beneficiaries in Punjab and there are a total of 20,500 government ration shops.

‘Free ration distribution from door to door’

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal tweeted and said, along with CM Bhagwant Mann ji, ‘door-to-door free ration distribution’ scheme was launched in Amloh, Punjab. Ration kits were handed over to the people of Punjab at their homes.

Door-to-door ration scheme could not take off in Delhi

Arvind Kejriwal has been continuously claiming that he wanted to implement the door-to-door ration scheme in Delhi also. But due to bureaucracy the plan could not be implemented and remained limited to papers only.
