2 girl students and 1 boy student died on Saturday due to drowning in the basement of IAS coaching center located in Rajendra Nagar, Delhi.
In this case, coaching students are protesting outside the coaching center against the mismanagement of MCD and Delhi government. At present the rescue operation is over. Delhi Police has so far detained the coaching operator and coordinator in this case.
The three students who died in this accident have been identified. Postmortem of all three students will be conducted today, after which the bodies will be handed over to the family members. Giving information, Delhi Police said that the three students are from Kerala, Telangana and UP. The names of the three are Shreya Yadav, Naveen Dalvin and Tania Soni. The bodies have been sent to the mortuary of RML.
Naveen was a resident of Ernakulam in Kerala
Delhi Police said that Shreya Yadav was a resident of Barsawan Hashimpur in Ambedkarnagar district of UP. Shreya’s father’s name is Rajendra Yadav. She had come to the capital Delhi a month ago to prepare for the Civil Services Examination. Tania Soni, daughter of Vijay Kumar, was a resident of Telangana. Naveen Dalvin, a resident of Ernakulam district of Kerala, was doing PhD from JNU. Naveen’s father’s name is Suresh Dalvin.
At present, no one is trapped inside
While giving an update on the rescue and relief operation in this case, MCD supervisor Rishipal said that the work of removing water from the basement of the building has been completed. There is still 3 to 4 inches of water left. MCD has installed all the machines, the entire building is empty. At present, no one is trapped inside.
