Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi held a road show in Alwar city on Monday in support of the Congress candidate from Alwar Lok Sabha seat.
Priyanka Gandhi was riding in an open-top vehicle in the road show. Former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, Leader of Opposition in the Assembly Tikaram Julie, Rajasthan in-charge Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa and Congress candidate Lalit Yadav were also present with him.

Many people wrote on paper and conveyed their views to Congress leaders.
In the road show of about an hour, former Congress MLAs from Alwar also met Priyanka in the vehicle and greeted the people. The road show started from Shaheed Smarak and passed through Church Road, Hope Circus, Kalakand Market.
After the road show, Priyanka shared its photos and wrote on Rajasthan has decided to form the government of ‘India’ by making Congress win with an overwhelming majority.”
He wrote, “This time a government of youth, women, farmers, Dalits and tribals will be formed. This time a people’s government will be formed.”
Congress has fielded Lalit Yadav, who is also a sitting MLA, as its candidate from this seat. Union Minister Bhupendra Yadav is contesting this seat from BJP’s side. Priyanka Gandhi later addressed an election rally in Bandikui Dausa.
Lok Sabha elections in Rajasthan will be held in two phases on 19 and 26 April. In the first phase, voting will be held on April 19 in 12 seats – Ganganagar, Bikaner, Churu, Jhunjhunu, Sikar, Jaipur Rural, Jaipur, Alwar, Bharatpur, Karauli-Dholpur, Dausa and Nagaur. In the second phase, voting will be held on April 26 in 13 seats – Tonk, Ajmer, Pali, Jodhpur, Barmer, Jalore, Udaipur, Banswara, Chittorgarh, Rajsamand, Bhilwara, Kota and Jhalawar.
