The rising numbers are a matter of concern for health professionals and the community. Rashid Khan, 34, a resident of Khokhaddal town near Rajkot, was found unconscious on Monday morning. Khan was immediately taken to Rajkot Civil Hospital, where doctors said he died of a heart attack. Rashid Khan was originally from Uttar Pradesh. He worked as a laborer and was the youngest of 8 siblings.

Similarly, 21-year-old Dhara Parmar fainted and died of suspected cardiac arrest at her residence. At the same time, 30-year-old Vijay Sanket, who was working as a cook in a factory in GIDC Metoda, also fainted and died. The cause of death is believed to be heart attack.
In another incident, Rajesh, 45, a resident of Kotharia town on the outskirts of Rajkot, suffered a sudden heart attack at his farm around 10 am on October 2. He was declared dead on reaching Rajkot Civil Hospital.
Lalit Parihar, a 35-year-old resident of Nepal, who worked as a security guard at a residential apartment in Rajkot, tragically collapsed at home and is believed to have died of a heart attack before reaching the hospital.
