This bridge is being constructed by SP Singla Company. This bridge is being built in Sultanganj of Bhagalpur district to connect Khagaria and Bhagalpur districts. It is being built to connect.

Earlier also on June 4, 2023, the under-construction four-lane bridge on Sultanganj-Agwani Ganga river collapsed. The super structure of the under-construction bridge fell into the river. At the same time, two guards on duty on the bridge also died in the accident He had gone missing since then. At that time, the entire structure above the bridge’s pillar number 10, 11, 12 from Agwani’s side had collapsed, which would be a part of about 200 meters. Before that, on 27 April 2022, this under-construction bridge was to be demolished. The super structure fell into the river.

About 100 feet long portion collapsed and fell to the ground due to heavy storm and rain. However, there was no loss of life or property at that time. After this, the work of bridge construction started again. This time about 80 percent of the work was completed. Not only this, 45 percent of the work of the approach road has also been completed.

This bridge is a Bihar government project connecting North and South Bihar. It is considered an ambitious project. The foundation stone of this bridge, which is being built at a cost of Rs 1710.77 crore, was laid by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on 23 February 2014. NH 31 and NH 80 will be connected with each other by this bridge and road construction. Let us tell you that this bridge will cost Rs 1710.77 crore. The length is 3.160 kilometers.
