The terror of criminals is continuously increasing in Patna. Late last night, criminals shot dead RJD leader and land dealer Rajkumar Rai near Rajendra Nagar Terminal in the capital. This sudden incident created panic in the entire area. After the firing, the criminals fled towards Kankarbagh Main Road.
The deceased has been identified as Rajkumar Rai, a resident of Raghopur in Vaishali district. Eyewitnesses said that two unknown miscreants sitting in ambush attacked Rai. He ran to save his life, but the attackers fired six rounds at him. Seriously injured Rai was rushed to the nearest hospital by supporters, where doctors declared him dead.
East City SP Parichay Kumar said that the murder took place in lane number 17 in front of Rajendra Nagar Terminal. Six shells have been recovered from the spot. The driver of the deceased was also present at the time of the incident, who is being questioned. Footage of CCTV cameras installed in the area is being scanned so that the criminals can be identified. Police say that the whole case will be solved soon.
There is an atmosphere of panic among the local people after this incident. The continuous criminal incidents in the capital Patna for the last few months have raised questions on law and order.
