A vehicle carrying 13 people crashed near Suni bridge in Muwani town of Uttarakhand, killing 8 people. Police officials have reached the spot and rescue operations are underway.

A tragic road accident took place on Tuesday in Muwani area of Pithoragarh district of Uttarakhand, in which a Max vehicle going from Muwani to Bokta fell into a 150 meter deep gorge. There were 13 people in this vehicle, out of which eight people died on the spot. At the same time, three people are seriously injured.
According to the information received, this accident happened near Shuni bridge. After which top officials of the administration reached the spot in a hurry. Disaster management teams reached the spot and conducted a rescue operation and pulled out the people. The accident was so terrible that the Max vehicle was blown to pieces. The injured were taken out of the gorge and sent to the nearest hospital through ambulance.
The deceased have not been identified yet. According to the local administration and police, the deceased are local residents and they were returning to their village, during which their vehicle became a victim of this accident. At present, the reasons for the vehicle falling into the gorge are being ascertained. So far, the poor condition of the road and high speed are being considered the reason for the accident.
The Chief Minister of the state Pushkar Singh Dhami has expressed deep condolences on this incident, as well as expressed his condolences to the bereaved families. He wrote on social media, “Received the sad news of a vehicle accident in Muwani area of Pithoragarh district. I pray to God to give place to the souls of those who died in the accident in his feet and give strength to the bereaved families to bear this immense pain. I have instructed the district administration for proper treatment of the injured, I pray for the speedy recovery of everyone.”
