In a significant action, the Rajasthan Police Intelligence Department has arrested Mangat Singh, a resident of Govindgarh in Alwar district, on charges of spying for the Pakistani intelligence agency, ISI. The arrest was made under Operation Sindoor, where his suspicious activities were uncovered during surveillance in the Alwar Cantonment area.
Contact Through Social Media, Trapped in a Honeytrap

Exchange of Sensitive Information
Mangat Singh is accused of passing confidential information related to the Alwar Cantonment area and other strategic military installations to Pakistan through social media. This was confirmed during technical investigation and interrogation. A case has been registered against the accused under the Official Secrets Act, 1923.
Central agencies continue questioning
Mangat Singh is being questioned by various intelligence agencies at the Central Interrogation Center in Jaipur. His involvement has been confirmed based on the examination of mobile data and communication records. The process of gathering more information from the accused is ongoing.
Similar Arrests Have Been Made Before
It is noteworthy that the Rajasthan Police CID (Intelligence) previously arrested Mahendra Prasad and Hanif Khan from Jaisalmer on charges of espionage. Mahendra was the manager of the DRDO guest house, while Hanif Khan was accused of sending sensitive military information to Pakistan in exchange for money.
