According to Professor Madhu Bhatt Tailang, daughter of Pandit Tailang and a famous Dhrupad singer of Rajasthan, Panditji was admitted to Durlabhji Hospital due to his ill health for the last few days.

Dhrupadacharya Pandit Laxman Bhatt Tailang, who was among the recipients of the Padma Shri award announced by the government on the eve of January 26, died at 9 am on Saturday. Pandit Tailang breathed his last at the age of 93 at Durlabhji Hospital, Jaipur, Rajasthan. He was undergoing treatment for pneumonia and other diseases for the last few days.
According to Professor Madhu Bhatt Tailang, daughter of Pandit Tailang and a famous Dhrupad singer of Rajasthan, Panditji was admitted to Durlabhji Hospital due to his ill health for the last few days. He breathed his last at 9 am on Saturday during treatment.”
Pandit Tailang spent his entire life in singing and he gave extensive music education to his son Ravi Shankar and daughters Shobha, Usha, Nisha, Madhu, Poonam and Aarti and made them proficient in various genres.
He was a music lecturer at Banasthali Vidyapeeth from 1950 to 1992 and at Rajasthan Music Institute, Jaipur from 1991 to 1994. Apart from these, he was also the founder and director of ‘Rasmanjari Sangeetopasana Kendra’ in Jaipur in 1985 and ‘International Dhrupad-Dham Trust’ in 2001.
