उत्तराखंड में फिर सियासी नफ़रत, अब विकास नगर में 18 वर्षीय कश्मीरी शॉल विक्रेता पर जानलेवा हमला
Political statements are being made regarding the alleged violence against a Kashmiri shawl vendor in Uttarakhand. People’s Democratic Party (PDP) leader Iltija Mufti shared a picture of the injured young man, strongly condemning the incident and demanding immediate action from the Uttarakhand government.
According to Iltija Mufti, the 18-year-old Kashmiri shawl vendor was attacked with an iron rod in Uttarakhand, resulting in multiple fractures. She wrote that this attack is not an isolated incident, but part of a series of violent acts against Kashmiris in different parts of the country, where perpetrators are assured of institutional protection and impunity.
In a post on the social media platform X, Iltija Mufti wrote, “This 18-year-old Kashmiri shawl seller was attacked with an iron rod in Uttarakhand until his bones were shattered. This is one of many incidents of violence against Kashmiris in India where perpetrators know they will get away with it. These are no longer just a few individuals. The BJP is actively mainstreaming these ‘few individuals’ who are no longer on the fringes.”
Addressing the state’s Chief Minister, Pushkar Singh Dhami, Iltija Mufti further added in her post, “Pushkar Singh Dhami, may we request you to take action?”
Currently, no official statement has been issued by the local administration or the Uttarakhand government regarding this matter.
