Campaign to catch fake sadhus

The Uttarakhand government has taken a tough stand against the fake babas who are tarnishing the image of Uttarakhand, which is called Devbhoomi. Under this, a campaign has been started in the name of Operation Kalanemi. Under this campaign, whoever is cheating people by becoming fake sadhus or adopting the attire of sadhus.

CM Dhami had told the need to crack down on fake babas

The state government has given instructions to take strict action against those people. A few days ago, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami started Operation Kalanemi to catch such people. In this, all the police officers of all the districts have been instructed to identify and catch the babas who roam on the roadside or in the streets in their district wearing the page of such sadhus and saints.

25 fake babas arrested from Dehradun

While taking action on this campaign, Doon Police has got great success. During the special checking campaign run by the police, 25 such babas have been detained. Who could not present documents related to any kind of organization. At the same time, one of these 25 people has also been found to be a native of Bangladesh.

Dehradun SSP said – Sadhus and saints are being monitored

The police fears that many criminals can also be present among the common people by adopting the guise of sadhus and sanyasis, keeping this in mind, SSP Dehradun Ajay Singh said to continue this campaign further. Dehradun Police has instructed all the police station in-charges to identify such persons in their respective police station areas who, by wearing the garb of sadhus and saints, mislead people, especially women and youth, and commit fraud by subduing them by promising to solve their personal or domestic problems.

Neither education nor document of any temple or monastery

Instructions have been given to catch such people. Due to this, Dehradun Police has arrested 25 such people on Friday. Who neither have any education in astrology nor do they have any document of any monastery or temple by which they can prove that they are truly a sadhu or saint. Such people were arrested. Among these 25 fake babas caught, one is a person from Dhaka, Bangladesh. Apart from this, there are people from Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Rajasthan, Assam, Uttarakhand.

The arrested fake sadhus could not show any documents.
