The Delhi government has ordered the closure of liquor shops and other establishments serving liquor in Delhi from February 3 to 5 on the polling days and till the results are declared on February 8.

The Delhi government has ordered liquor shops and other establishments serving alcohol in the city to remain closed from February 3 to 5 on the polling day and on the day of declaration of results on February 8.
A recent notification issued by the Delhi Excise Commissioner has declared ‘dry day’ under the Excise Rules-2010 for various excise licences on the day of polling and counting for the 70-member Delhi Assembly.
“It is hereby ordered that there will be dry day from 6 pm on February 3 to 6 pm on February 5 (during the 48 hours ending with the time fixed for the end of poll) and on February 8, the day of counting,” the notification said.
