The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has announced a reward of Rs 10 lakh for information about the arrest of Anmol Bishnoi, the younger brother of notorious criminal Lawrence Bishnoi, who is in jail. Officials gave this information on Friday.
According to officials, Anmol Bishnoi is wanted by the NIA for his alleged involvement in the shooting outside actor Salman Khan’s residence in Mumbai last April and has also been placed on the agency’s most wanted list.
It is believed that Anmol Bishnoi aka Bhanu lives in Canada and regularly visits America. A bounty on his head was announced last month, officials said.
He said that Anmol is believed to be behind the murder of former Maharashtra minister Baba Siddiqui in Bandra, Mumbai on October 12.
A Mumbai court had recently denied bail to one of the two accused involved in the shooting incident outside Salman’s house. The court had said that he had carried out this act with the intention or knowledge of killing Salman at the behest of Anmol Bishnoi.
