Maratha reservation movement is becoming violent in Maharashtra. Maratha reservation agitators also set fire to the houses of another NCP MLA, Sandeep Kshirsagar, after Prashant Solanke and former state minister Jai Kshirsagar in Beed city this evening. The mob also set fire to the NCP office.

The Maratha reservation movement in Maharashtra has once again taken a violent form. Maratha protesters demanding reservation have come out on the streets and are targeting the residences and offices of MLAs. After setting fire to the house of Sharad Pawar’s NCP MLA Prakash Solanki in Majalgaon tehsil of Beed, the protesters have now set ablaze the office of former state government minister Jayduttji Kshirsagar.
Not only this, the house of Beed assembly constituency MLA Sandeep Kshirsagar has also been targeted by Maratha agitators. Furious protesters entered Sandeep Kshirsagar’s house and set 5 to 6 vehicles on fire. The angry mob did not stop here and also set fire to the MLA’s house. In view of the fierce protest, curfew has been imposed in Beed district till further orders. Curfew has been imposed within a radius of 5 kilometers of Beed district headquarters and all taluka offices.
The fire of Maratha movement has now started spreading rapidly in Maharashtra. Angry protesters are now targeting the homes, offices and businesses of MLAs. The information coming out from different parts of Maharashtra shows that the protesters now want to take the movement forward in a violent manner. The protesters who took to the streets regarding the Maratha movement have also targeted the office of Sharad Pawar faction. Along with this, an MLA’s hotel (hotel Sunrise) has also been set on fire.
Curfew imposed in Beed after fierce protest
In view of the fierce protest, curfew has been imposed in Beed district till further orders. Curfew has been imposed within a radius of 5 kilometers of Beed district headquarters and all taluka offices. Curfew will also remain applicable on the National Highway till further orders.
Why are Maratha agitators angry?
No clear stand has come out from the political parties regarding Maratha reservation. This is why the protesters have now come out on the streets and started targeting the homes, offices and businesses of leaders of every party. On Monday, the violent mob set fire to the house of MLA Prakash Solanki, the house of MLA Sandeep Kshirsagar, the office of former minister Jaydutt Kshirsagar and the Beed NCP office of Sharad Pawar faction. Majalgaon Municipality was also set on fire.
