At least 15 workers were killed and 18 others seriously injured in a massive explosion at an explosives manufacturing company called SBL Energy in Raulgaon, Katol tehsil. Relief and rescue operations are underway at a rapid pace, and more people are feared trapped under the debris.
According to reports, the incident occurred around 5:30 a.m. when the SBL company, located in Raulgaon, manufactures explosives and other related materials used in mining operations. Workers had arrived for work as usual on Sunday morning.

According to reports, approximately 25 to 30 workers were working in the unit at the time of the blast. Immediately after the explosion, a massive fire broke out in the premises, and a thick cloud of black smoke spread throughout the area. In the chaos, several workers were injured, while some are feared trapped under the debris.
Upon receiving information about the incident, police, ambulances, and fire brigade vehicles arrived at the scene. Relief and rescue operations are underway at a war footing. Firefighters are trying to control the fire, while rescue teams are working to safely evacuate the trapped workers.
The administration has sealed off the entire area as a precaution and ordered an investigation. A team of experts is also arriving at the scene to determine the cause of the accident.
Police officials stated that an investigation is underway. The circumstances surrounding the accident are being investigated. The injured workers have been admitted to the hospital, where they are reported to be out of danger. SBL company personnel will also be questioned to uncover the truth soon.
They stated that information is being gathered about the precautions taken regarding the company’s fire system. The fire brigade may also investigate the matter.
