In Amroha, Uttar Pradesh, local people including members of the Muslim community showered flowers on the Kanwariyas and distributed fruits to them.

In Bachhrayun town of Amroha district, Kanwariyas returning after collecting Ganga water were welcomed in a unique way. Near Hafiz Road intersection, people of Muslim community showered flowers on Kanwariyas and distributed water bottles and fruits to them.
This event was led by BJP leader Sheikh Chiraguddin. Sheikh Chiraguddin said that India’s identity is its Ganga-Jamuni tehzeeb. People of all religions live together with mutual brotherhood and harmony. He said that such events strengthen the feeling of unity and love in the society.
During the program, many people including Inspector in-charge Pramod Kumar, Mohammad Shanu, Mohammad Hafiz, Abdul Rehman, Mohammad Shariq, Faizan, Shamim Ahmed were present. The policemen present on the spot also appreciated this initiative.
