The Mumbai Police Control Room today received a call that a bomb had been planted at the Taj Hotel and Airport in the city. Police searched the premises but did not find anything suspicious. Mumbai Police said that the call has come from Uttar Pradesh and the search for the caller is on.

Mumbai’s Taj Mahal Palace and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport received bomb threats on Monday, police said. Police searched both the places, but nothing was found.
Mumbai Police said they received a bomb threat call on Monday afternoon, following which they conducted searches at both the locations. He told that the call had come from Uttar Pradesh and the caller was being searched.
Recently, Lady Shri Ram College of Delhi University received an e-mail containing a bomb threat. This threat was received through an e-mail on May 23, after which the police became alert. After a thorough inspection of the college premises, officials said they did not find anything suspicious.
On May 23, three luxury hotels in Bengaluru also received bomb threats via email, which turned out to be a rumour.
Similarly, Delhi’s North Block, where the Union Home Ministry office is located, received a bomb threat on May 22, which later turned out to be a hoax.
Notably, on May 1, around 100 schools in Delhi, two in Noida and one in Lucknow received bomb threats via email, leading to mass evacuation of the schools.
