Seven members of the same family lost their lives in a tragic accident in the Indore district of Madhya Pradesh. The incident occurred at a residence located in the Brijeshwari Annex Colony, where a fire engulfed the entire house, reducing it to ashes. The fire has now been brought under control, while police and fire brigade teams remained on the scene, engaged in relief and rescue operations.

According to reports, in addition to the immediate family, several relatives were also present in the house at the time of the accident, as a wedding had recently taken place there on February 16. Late at night, an electric car was being charged outside the house when a short circuit triggered a fire. In a matter of moments, the fire intensified rapidly—particularly when four gas cylinders kept inside the house exploded. There were approximately 15 additional cylinders present in the house, a fact that could have made the situation even more dire.

The blaze was so fierce that it engulfed the entire structure, destroying all the belongings kept inside. Immediately following the incident, neighbors displayed great courage by initiating rescue efforts and alerting the fire department and the police. With their assistance, three individuals were safely evacuated, although they have sustained serious injuries.

The house reportedly belongs to Manoj Pugalia. The deceased include Simran, Vijay Sethia, Suman Sethia, Rashi, and Chhotu Sethia, while the identity of one other victim has not yet been established. Meanwhile, Saurabh, Sunita, and Sonil have been rescued.

According to Indore Collector Shivam Verma, the accident occurred early Wednesday morning, sometime between 3:30 AM and 4:30 AM. The administration has evacuated two floors of the building, and inspections of the remaining sections are currently underway.
