A sensational case of murderous attack on police personnel has come to light in Damoh district of Madhya Pradesh. It is alleged that land mafia tried to burn alive a constable and pilot of Hundred Dial in Pairwara village of Magron police station area of the district.
Actually, the police had received information that some goons were illegally occupying government land in Pairwara village. On this information, the team of Hundred Dial reached the spot. As soon as the police vehicle was seen, 20 to 30 attackers first fired in the air. Hearing the sound of the bullet, the constable and the pilot tried to run away from there, but the attackers surrounded them.
The accused caught both of them and held them hostage and beat them brutally. After this, the drunk attackers tried to burn both of them alive by throwing them into a burning tractor, but they failed in this. The constable told that he cleverly saved his and the pilot’s life by running away from the clutches of the attackers after getting the opportunity. Both somehow reached the district hospital and from there informed the Superintendent of Police (SP) of Damoh about the incident.
Seeing the seriousness of the incident, the SP immediately sent a heavy police force to Pairwara village. The police reached the spot and controlled the situation. At present, the situation in the village is normal. But, tension persists. The police have started investigating the matter and raids are being conducted in search of the accused. People are angry with the land mafia. The police have been demanded to take strict action against the accused. The police have also assured that the culprits will be arrested soon and strict action will be taken.
