Loose Buckwheat Flour Ordered Online
According to residents, the buckwheat flour was ordered online from a nearby local shop. The flour was not packaged, but was loose. It is suspected that the flour was tainted or adulterated, leading to the deterioration of people’s health. The Food Department has been informed of the incident.
Similar Cases Have Occurred Before
This is not the first incident in Greater Noida and Greater Noida West. Previously, during Mahashivratri, more than 300 people, including students from a hostel, fell ill. At that time, the Food Department performed a formality by taking samples and conducting lab tests. Despite this, unsafe and adulterated food items are being sold openly in the area. People allege that the general public is facing such problems due to the Food Department’s negligence.
