The Election Commission has declared Ajit Pawar’s Nationalist Congress Party as the real NCP. Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi after Ajit Pawar got NCP’s name and election symbol ‘clock’. He said that Ajit getting the party is Modi’s guarantee.

Raut said, ‘You can have MLAs or Members of Parliament. If these MLAs and MPs lose the elections tomorrow, what will happen to the party? The entire decision is wrong and biased. This is a decision that kills democracy and the Constitution.
He further said that Sharad Pawar is still the founder of the party. He used to sit in front of the Election Commission. The Election Commission knows that he is the founder, yet the party has been given to Ajit Pawar, this is a guarantee for Modi.

It is worth noting that, after more than 10 hearings lasting more than six months, the Election Commission settled the dispute in the NCP and gave its verdict in favor of the Ajit Pawar-led faction. Now NCP’s name and election symbol ‘Ghari’ will remain with Ajit Pawar. Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar had said on Tuesday that the NCP led by me has the support of most of the state MLAs as well as district presidents.
Ajit Pawar had said that in democracy only majority is given priority. About 50 MLAs are with us. Even most of the district presidents and heads of party cells are standing with us. Ajit Pawar said that he welcomes the decision of the Election Commission. On Sharad Pawar’s statement challenging the Election Commission’s order, Ajit Pawar said that everyone has the right to do so.
