On the occasion of Christmas, Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the Cathedral Church of the Redemption in Delhi this morning. He participated in prayers with the Christian community, which saw a large number of people from Delhi and North India in attendance. Bishop Rev. Dr. Paul Swarup of Delhi offered a special prayer for PM Modi. In a post on X (formerly Twitter), PM Modi said, “Participated in the Christmas morning prayers at the Cathedral Church of the Redemption in Delhi. The prayer service reflected the eternal message of love, peace, and compassion. May the spirit of Christmas inspire harmony and goodwill in our society.”

Earlier, he extended his wishes to the nation and expressed hope that the teachings of Jesus Christ would continue to strengthen harmony in society. PM Modi wrote on the social media platform X, “Wishing everyone a joyful Christmas filled with peace, compassion, and hope. May the teachings of Jesus Christ strengthen harmony in our society.”

In 2024, he also participated in a dinner at the residence of Minister George Kurian and an event organized by the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of India.
