A police officer said that the deceased has been identified as a resident of the western village of Veerpur. The deceased has been identified as Mohit Kumar (20). It was reported that a Special Investigation Team has been formed to probe the case.

On Friday, two youths were arrested in Begusarai district of Bihar on charges of goat theft. A case of tying hands and legs and beating them badly has come to light. One youth died in the incident, while the condition of the other is said to be critical. However, the police say that one of the accused got injured in a bike accident while trying to escape , due to which he died.
The case is from Veerpur police station area of the district. It is being told that the villagers had caught two youths on the charge of stealing a goat. They tied their hands and feet and beat them up. On receiving the information, the police reached the spot and freed both of them from the clutches of the villagers. After this, the police admitted the injured youths to the hospital for treatment, where one youth died, while the other is injured.
According to the police, in Veerpur police station area On Friday morning, two people had allegedly come to Bhawanandpur to steal a goat. When the two youths were trying to steal a goat from the village, the villagers raised an alarm. Both the youths started running away on a bike. The villagers chased them. After some distance, both the youths collided near a culvert and fell down and got injured. The villagers caught them and tied their hands and legs and brought them to the village. The police rescued both of them from the clutches of the villagers. After this, the police took the injured youths for treatment. They were admitted to the nearest primary health center in Veerpur.
Seeing the condition of both the youths, the doctors referred them to Sadar Hospital where one of the youths died during treatment.
