The District Magistrate of Meerut has warned all the employees working in the Collectorate and Tehsil premises not to wear jeans and T-shirts.

The District Magistrate of Meerut has warned all the employees working in the Collectorate and Tehsil premises not to wear jeans and T-shirts. According to the order of the District Magistrate’s office, under the new dress code, the employees working in the collectorate and tehsil have been banned from wearing jeans, T-shirts. Henceforth they will compulsorily wear formal dress during office hours.
Men should wear formal shirt and pants. Whereas, women employees can wear saree, salwar-kameez. This order was passed on the instructions of Meerut District Magistrate Deepak Meena.
He said that in Collectorate office and Tehsil office, employees in jeans, T-shirts and other colorful costumes will not be present in the office. Instead, make sure to attend the office in formal dress only.
The order strictly mentions that action will be initiated against the collectorate and tehsil office staff who fail to comply with the directions.
