MCD house passes proposal to regularise 5k sanitation workers

About 5000 sanitation workers of Delhi Municipal Corporation will be confirmed. CM Kejriwal said that since the Aam Aadmi Party government was formed in the Municipal Corporation (MCD Workers) in January, till now the government has confirmed 6494 sanitation workers. He said that raw employees, i.e. those who do not know anything about their job, are called today but are not called for work tomorrow. It is not known whether they will be called for 15 days in a month or for 20 days, nor is there any information about holidays.

Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said that the BJP government was in power in the Municipal Corporation for 15 years, during which it left no stone unturned in exploiting the sanitation workers. Ever since the Delhi government has announced the confirmation of sanitation workers, the sanitation workers are very happy. He said that ever since the Aam Aadmi Party government has been formed in Punjab, 30,000 raw workers have been confirmed.
