Massive fire breaks out in Delhi-Darbhanga Clone Special train in Etawah

A fire broke out in the general coach of New Delhi-Darbhanga Clone Express in Etawah on Wednesday. Fire has been reported in the general coaches of train number 02570.

A fire broke out in the general coach of New Delhi-Darbhanga Clone Express in Etawah on Wednesday. According to the latest information, three coaches of the train were on fire. At present, the situation has been brought under control. There was fire in the general coaches of train number 02570. The train stopped at Saraibhupat station. After which the train has been sent to Bihar at 8:18 pm. As soon as information about the incident was received, fire brigade vehicles left for the incident site. At present, three coaches will be added in Kanpur. 200 to 250 people have been affected in the accident.

SSP’s statement on Etawah train accident

Giving information, Etawah SSP Sanjay Kumar said that there was fire in 3 bogies of the train. According to the current report, the fire has been completely controlled. There is no news of any casualty yet. The exact number of injured is not yet known. It is being told that the cause of the fire is short circuit but it has not been confirmed yet.

DM reached the hospital to meet the injured

Etawah DM Avnish Rai reached the district hospital to meet the injured in the fire in Delhi-Darbhanga Express at Sarai Bhopat railway station in Etawah.

Immediate information after the incident

According to the information received, fire broke out in S-1 and S-2 coaches. There was a stampede in the coach after the fire. Other coaches including the engine have been separated. On information, forces of many police stations including ADM Abhinav Ranjan Srivastava, SP City Kapil Dev Singh, SDM Sadar Vikram Raghav have reached. Eight people have suffered burn injuries due to the fire. Those who have been admitted to the district hospital in critical condition.

There was a crowd of people going home on Chhath

According to the information received, due to Chhath Puja, there was a huge crowd of passengers in the coaches. Due to the fire, the luggage of hundreds of passengers was burnt to ashes. Many trains including Shatabdi Express, Kamakhya Express are standing on the loop.

Station master stopped the train

According to the information given by the CPRO of North Central Railway, when train number 02570 Darbhanga Clone Special was passing through Sarai Bhopat railway station in Uttar Pradesh, smoke started rising from a coach. Seeing this the station master immediately stopped the train. All the passengers have been evacuated safely. There are no injuries or casualties.

Number of injured in train accident is eight

  1. Dayanand, son of Hardev Mandal Nand, resident of village Shankar Lohar, district Darbhanga.
  2. Raunak Raj, 12 years old, son of Dayanandmandal, resident of village Shankar Lohar, district Darbhanga.
  3. Manoj Chopal 37 son of Ram Chopal resident of Benipur district Darbhanga.
  4. Harendra Yadav 26, son of Ramvilas village Usamath police station Patonar district Darbhanga.
  5. Tillu Mukhiya 18 son of Kari Mukhiya village Guswa police station Alinagar district Darbhanga.
  6. Kanchan Devi wife Dayanand 40 years
  7. Sunita Devi, wife of Mohanlal, is the mother of 65 year old Dayanand.
  8. Aakriti daughter of Dayanand.

A coach burnt to ashes

On the other hand, according to PTI, a fire broke out in two coaches of the New Delhi-Darbhanga Special Express train near Etawah in Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday evening. A police officer gave this information. Four people suffered minor injuries. Etawah Superintendent of Police (SP) Sanjay Kumar said, as per preliminary information, they are not burnt. The cause of the fire could not be immediately known. A fire broke out in two coaches of a passenger train going from Delhi to Darbhanga (Bihar). Fire engines have been sent to the spot and efforts are being made to extinguish the fire.

Superintendent of Police (SP) Sanjay Kumar said that an ambulance and a team of doctors are present at the spot. However, North Central Railways said that one coach was gutted in the fire. North Central Railway Chief Public Relations Officer (CPRO) Himanshu Upadhyay said the guard at Sarai Bhopat Junction near Etawah saw smoke coming out of coach number S1 of the New Delhi-Darbhanga Special Express. He said the train was immediately stopped and all passengers were evacuated. Everyone is safe and there is no news of any casualty so far.
