The bloody game of Maoist Naxalites is not stopping in Kolhan area of West Singhbhum of Jharkhand. Last night, in Goilkera block of Chaibasa, an armed squad of Naxalites attacked the house of retired BSF jawan Sukhlal Purti and gunned him down. Within the last 20 days, Naxalites have killed seven villagers in East Singhbhum (Chaibasa).

A few hours before this, the police-administration had been alerted by this incident of Naxalites and by tightening the security, the operation to search for the Naxalites was intensified. Police and security force personnel are conducting searches and investigations at various places in the district.
According to the information received, on the night of September 7, more than a dozen Naxalites surrounded the house of retired BSF soldier Sukhlal Purti in Kashijoda village of Kadamdiha Panchayat under Goilkera block of Chaibasa. He gave a voice and asked to open the door, but on not doing so, the Naxalites broke the door of the house and entered inside and riddled the jawan with bullets.
Sukhlal Purti was living in his village after retirement from BSF a few years ago. His age was around 50 years. After his murder, Naxalites have also left pamphlets, in which he has been accused of being a police informer. On getting information about the incident, the police reached the jawan’s house at around 9 am today, recovered his body and sent it for postmortem.
Let us tell you that within the last three weeks, Naxalites have killed Rondo Surin, Arjun Surin, Supay Murkad, Kanhu Angriya, Rasiya Pradhan and another villager of Kadamdiha Panchayat on the suspicion of being police informers. At the same time, in Chaibasa district alone, Naxalites have killed 7 people in the last 20 days, due to which there is a feeling of fear in the area.
